A Safari Ball is a type of Poké Ball used to capture and tame creatures in the Pokémon series. They function similarly to regular Poké Balls but are only used within the Safari Zones, special game reserves used to protect rare and endangered Pokémon in a region. They show that a trainer has paid to legally catch Safari Zone Pokémon and that they haven't poached them illegally.
