SSX Tricky is a video game for the GameCube and Game Boy Advance. It is a sequel to EA's popular SSX video game and one of, if not the most popular video game in the long lasting series. The game features a variety of characters that add a more in-depth story line than the previous outing.

Gameplay

During the races, the characters are capable of attacking the other players. AI will tend to fight those that have contradicting attitudes. As most snowboarding video games are, SSX Tricky features a trick system, though this one is very unique. It includes a special system developed exclusively for the game called the übertrick system (über originating from the German term übermenschen, which in itself was a race). The goal was to rack up your tricky meter that would allow you to perform bigger tricks, go faster and listen to Run DMC's song "It's Tricky".

In all there are nine stages, seven from the original SSX video game. The returning stages, however, are all redone and feature an estimated four times the amount of shortcuts than the original. Six of the playable characters also return, while the same amount of new characters join.
