Ryo Nagamatsu (born October 25, 1982) is a video game composer previously employed at Nintendo. He originally joined the company in April 2006 and worked on a variety of games, mostly in the Mario, Mario Kart and 2D The Legend of Zelda franchises, usually been involved with soundtracks with orchestral or big band styles.
For the Splatoon series, Nagamatsu was mostly in charge of the ω-3 and Grizzco Industries songs, which play during the Salmon Run mode, as well as some bands such as C-Side.
In April 30, 2023, Nagamatsu left Nintendo.[1] Since then, he has been active as a freelance composer and video editor.
