Rock Tunnel is a dungeon in the First Generation Pokémon games. It is a mountain cave, connecting Cerulean City to Lavender Town. Rock Tunnel was created by the burrowing of the massive rock snake Pokémon Onix. Players must make their way through the pitch black cave to reach eastern Kanto, as Team Rocket has taken over Saffron City, blocking the road to Celadon City.

The most common Pokémon in Rock Tunnel are the typical mountain and cavern dwellers, shared with Mt. Moon, such as Zubat and Geodude, though as higher levels, making them more dangerous than before. On deeper floors, players have a chance to encounter the titanic rock snake Pokémon, Onix. The reptilian humanoid Pokémon Machop is also a rare encounter inside the cave.
