Reginn is a playable character in Fire Emblem Heroes. Debuting in Book V, she is the younger sister of Fáfnir and Ótr.

Profile

Reginn was born to the king and queen of Niðavellir. After her parents were killed in a coup attempt when she was little, she and her brother Ótr fled to a village, where they met Fáfnir, who became a brother figure to them. Fáfnir later became king of Niðavellir, but his invasions of other nations concerned Reginn.

Reginn initially fought for Fáfnir's army, but after several encounters with Alfonse's forces, he noticed that she didn't have the conviction one might expect. Inspired, she joins forces with Alfonse to bring her brothers back to their senses. But while approaching the sage Eitri, they encounter Ótr, who disowns Reginn for switching sides.

Later on, Ótr tells Reginn the truth, that she was the heir to Niðavellir. Ótr was the son of commoners who lived in the castle partly due to their resemblence to the king. When rebels told his father they would let him become king, he let them into the castle, resulting in the coup and the death of Reginn's parents. Fáfnir, on the other hand, was a soldier summoned from another world by Eitri without his memories. Ótr had been working with Eitri to prevent Fáfnir from regaining his memories, as he would want to return to his original world. Ultimately, Ótr is killed by Fáfnir when he becomes a monster, and Reginn is forced to kill Fáfnir, who regains his senses and tells Reginn about his original world.

In the end, Reginn confronts and kills Eitri, who reveals her plan was to have Reginn retake the throne the whole time. The crown that Fáfnir wore was designed to make non-heirs who wore it to become tyrants.
