Red Bones are enemies in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are stronger than Dull Bones but not as strong as Dry Bones. They act the same as others in the Bones family, except Red Bones summon Dull Bones more often. They are the only ones with blue eyes, and they are able to command Dull Bones. They only appear in Hooktail Castle and a certain puzzle in the Palace of Shadow's Riddle Tower, although the tattle of a Red Bones can be found in Frankly's trash can after Chapter 1.
Trivia[]
In the trailer to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, several scenes involving Red Bones were present, including one where he is selected in battle. This particular scene reveals that Red Bones was known as Red Koopa Skeleton in one of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Doors early versions.
In the French version of Paper Mario: the Thousand-Year Door, Goombella remarks that the Red Bones in Hooktail's Castle is a "bloody skeleton". This is a reference to the enemy's Japanese name, Bloody Dull Bones.
