Puyo Puyo(JP) is the second entry of the Puyo Puyo series. It is an enhanced version of the 1991 video game of the same name. Sega originally released the game in arcades and ported it to other platforms such as the Mega Drive, and Game Gear while Banpresto ported the game to the Super Famicom (as Super Puyo Puyo(JP)) and Game Boy. Only the arcade, Sega Mega Drive, and Sega Game Gear were re-released for the Wii Virtual Console and 3DS Virtual Console and Nintendo Switch.
