Pokedex3d

Pokédex 3D is a downloadable application for the Nintendo 3DS. Available on the Nintendo eShop for free, Pokédex 3D contains the complete Pokémon Black and White Pokédex, each Pokémon being rendered in 3D. The application makes use of the 3DS's SpotPass and augmented reality features. While the application can be helpful in looking up the statistics of a Pokémon, users will not be given access to all Pokémon data immediately. Instead, in the beginning they will have only 16 entries out of over 150. It starts with the Unova starters and evolutions, and Audino, Axew, Emolga, Foongus, Hydreigon, and Scraggy. More entries can be obtained by using SpotPass and by scanning Pokémon AR Markers.

Pokémon can be displayed on pictures taken with the Nintendo 3DS Camera via augmented reality (AR).

A National Pokédex application has been announced by Nintendo entitled Pokédex 3D Pro. It was released in Japan on July 14, 2012 and in North America on November 8, 2012, with the free version delisted on October 1, 2012.
