Pocket Monsters Stadium(JP) is a video game released exclusively in Japan, in 1998 for the Nintendo 64. In this version, there are only 42 Pokémon instead of all 151 Generation I Pokémon. This game was originally going to be for the 64DD, but due to the system's failure, it was only released for the Nintendo 64.
A sequel was released the following year, in Japan as Pokémon Stadium, on April 30, 1999. This was eventually released in early 2000 outside Japan as Pokémon Stadium.
