Piers is a dark-type gym leader in Pokémon Sword and Shield and the leader of Team Yell. He is battled at the Spikemuth Stadium and he gives the Dark Badge to trainers who beat him. Piers created Team Yell to act as a fan club for his younger sister Marnie, but they took things too far by obstructing other trainers attempts to become champion. He later hands over the role of gym leader to Marnie.
