The King's Tea Party
Housekeeper Pia: (I pushed Mariti so hard I lost my balance and now I'm gonna fall in the hole!)
Housekeeper Pia: Noooooo!
Housekeeper Pia: Owww... Wait, huh? How am I in the courtyard?
Housekeeper Pia: And was it always decorated for Halloween like this?
Halloween Althemia?: We're late! We're late! For a very important date! And at this rate, the tea party will have to wait!
Housekeeper Pia: Uh, why are you wearing your Halloween costume, Althemia?
Laxi?: Error detected. Today's decorations are for Dragonyule.
Housekeeper Pia: Holy what?! The decorations all just changed from Halloween to Dragonyule!
Mascula?: No, no, no! They said they wanted Halloween decorations!
Housekeeper Pia: (Okay, I have no idea what's going on right now.)
Housekeeper Pia: Um, Althemia?
Halloween Althemia?: Althemia? Who is that? I am the Hatter.
Housekeeper Pia: WHAAAAT?!
The Hatter: Don't up and shout like that! And more importantly, if you've the time to bumble about, you've the time to help me prepare this afternoon's tea party!
Housekeeper Pia: Um...okay?
The Hatter: Good. You can prepare the tea and pancakes.
Housekeeper Pia: Okay. But, um, Ms. Hatter?
The Hatter: Yes? What is it?
Housekeeper Pia: Is today Halloween or Dragonyule?
The Hatter: Are you mad? Today is the unbirthday of the Kingdom of Balberia—and the day of the royal tea party!
Housekeeper Pia: Balberia? And wait, what's an unbirthday?
The Hatter: Any day that isn't a royal birthday is an unbirthday, which makes it a tea party day. Now then, the recipe is on the desk. Do take care of it, now. Ta!
Housekeeper Pia: I think I've ended up in weirdoland...
Housekeeper Pia: Wait, didn't the prince say there were lots of other worlds besides our own? This must just be one of those!
Housekeeper Pia: Oh geez, but how am I gonna get home?
Housekeeper Pia: Still, I guess I should help out first. If I don't, Althemia—er, I mean, the Hatter—will be very cross!
Housekeeper Pia: Let's see... Okay, so this is a recipe to make tea and pancakes for one person, and there's also a list of everyone coming to the party.
Housekeeper Pia: So how much water do I need here? Just gotta multiply... Um... How do you multiply big numbers again...?
Housekeeper Pia: Oh, blech! This tea's so weak it tastes like nothing!
Valentine's Orion?: Hello, my sweet and charming young lady! You appear to have finished the tea.
Housekeeper Pia: Orion?
March Hare: I do rather like the ring of that name, but please call me the March Hare.
March Hare: If I might return the subject, however, I must transport your finished tea now.
Housekeeper Pia: No, stop! That tea is super weak!
March Hare: Super weak tea, you say? Why, that's perfect!
Housekeeper Pia: Huh?
March Hare: You simply must let me convey this most sublime beverage to the table at once!
Housekeeper Pia: Oh geez. I hope this isn't a bad idea...
Housekeeper Pia: Oh, that's right! I gotta make pancakes!
Housekeeper Pia: Oh, blech AGAIN. I mixed up the sugar and salt, and now the pancakes taste like anchovies. I can't serve this—they'll hurl!
Laxi?: Are the pancakes ready?
Housekeeper Pia: Hey, Laxi. No, probably not. ...Uh, wait. Who are you, actually?
Sister Doll: We are dolls. Twins. I am the elder.
Brother Doll: No, I am the elder.
Sister Doll: I am the elder.
Brother Doll: I told you, I am... Oh, never mind. Have you made the pancakes?
Housekeeper Pia: Yeah, but they're REALLY salty.
Sister Doll: A salty pancake? You've good taste!
Housekeeper Pia: Huh?
Brother Doll: Indeed! After all, people can't be picky. Sometimes a person must eat sweet, and sometimes a person must eat salty, irregardless of what they want!
Housekeeper Pia: They ran off with the pancakes...
Housekeeper Pia: They all seemed impressed with my work, but I still have a pretty bad feeling...
Maritimus: Hear ye, hear ye! Stand and recognize the coming of the great kings of Balberia!
Housekeeper Pia: Prince Euden?!
Mr. Mouse: No, Pia.
Housekeeper Pia: Oh! It's Mr. Mouse!
Mr. Mouse: That there is the younger-brother king of Balberia, and next to him is the elder-brother king.
Mr. Mouse: The younger is kind, but the elder is hard to please and becomes quite cross when things aren't done perfectly.
Younger King: I thank you for holding my elder brother's unbirthday tea party today.
Younger King: Now, Brother, let us partake of the tea that has been prepared for us.
Elder King: Hmph! Give it here.
Elder King: PFFFFFFFT! Why, this is TERRIBLE! It's just hot water with a couple of sticks thrown in for texture!
Housekeeper Pia: (Eeeep! I knew it!)
Younger King: Now now, Brother! Let's eat some of the pancakes. They look well-cooked and delicious if I do say so myself.
Elder King: PFFFFFFFFT! Salty! So salty! It's like sandpaper scraping across my tongue!
Elder King: How DARE you expect me to eat and drink something this disgusting!
Elder King: Do you think I'm a fool? Is that it? Shall I cavort and caper about for your grim amusement?!
Elder King: Maritimus.
Maritimus: Yessir, Your Half-Majesty!
Elder King: You will take responsibility for this and go DIRECTLY TO JAIL!
Maritimus: WHAAAT?! But that's absurd!
Elder King: SILENCE! This kingdom is under MY dominion!
Elder King: And not just you, but also the Hatter, the March Hare, and the twin dolls! To jail with the whole lot of you!
Housekeeper Pia: S-stop!
Elder King: Hmmmmm?
Housekeeper Pia: The weak tea and salty pancakes were all my fault. None of the others have done anything wrong.
Elder King: Ah. Then you will go to jail instead?
Housekeeper Pia: Um...
Younger King: Everyone makes mistakes, my brother. You need not be so harsh on them.
Elder King: Fine. If YOU go to jail in their place, I will forgive them their crimes.
Younger King: If that is your wish.
Housekeeper Pia: No! Please, Mr. Elder-Brother King! Have mercy!
Elder King: And why should I show clemency to the girl who attempted to poison me?
Housekeeper Pia: *sniffle* Please...
Elder King: Oh, fine! Just don't start bawling.
Elder King: I will show mercy...IF you can host a tea party that is to my satisfaction!
Housekeeper Pia: Okay! I'll do my best!
Housekeeper Pia: (I have to save the younger brother, but I have no idea how to host a party that will satisfy the older one!)
