Palm Shore is a small circular atoll similar to that of Shy Guy Beach. It is a battle course in Mario Kart DS. It reappears in Mario Kart 7 as a retro battle course. The only obstacle is a lone palm tree and the reguarly changing tide. If driving in the course during high tide, you slow down and become an easy target for opponents, making you vulnerable to various items. The item boxes are found in the water channels and also in the central island. In Mario Kart 7, driving through the water won't slow you down, more palm trees are visible, and the overall size of the map has been expanded.
