Trivia[]

  • Overqwil was first hinted at in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl before its official reveal in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, being alluded to in a book in the Canalave City Library, where it is referred to as "a Qwilfish with huge spikes".
  • Overqwil is one of only two Pokémon to have a "Q" in its name that is not followed by a "U" (unlike most words in the English language with a "Q" in it) with the other being its pre-Evolution Qwilfish.
