Oogtar is a recurring character in the Super Mario World animated series produced by DiC Entertainment. He is a mischievous blonde-haired caveboy who lives in Dome City with his parents and an unnamed sister. He is a trouble-making prankster and appears to be close friends with Yoshi. Although he is seen prominently in the show's intro sequence, he only has major roles in three episodes - "Ghosts R Us", "The Night Before Cave Christmas", and "A Little Learning" - and also has minor roles in "Party Line" and "Rock TV".

- In a 2018 interview, Perry Martin, who wrote Oogtar's debut episode, revealed that the character was originally named Bartzan and was even described as resembling Bart Simpson in the series' bible.[1]
