Octoman is one of the many pilots that made their debut in the Nintendo 64 video game, F-Zero X. He would later appear as a pilot in F-Zero GX and as a boss in the DS game Star Fox: Command. He will be fought two times during command.

Octoman's ship, the Deep Claw, was originally #26 in F-Zero X, but was swapped with John Tanaka in F-Zero GX/'AX, likely to match Octo man with the #8.
