Noctowl<sup>(JPJapanese: ヨルノズク

Romaji: Yorunozuku)</sup> is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon that made its first appearance in the second generation games Gold and Silver. It evolves from Hoothoot at level 20.

In Fowl Play!, a man was trying to capture a small, Shiny Noctowl with traps but kept failing due to the Owl Pokémon's intelligence. After Team Rocket was sent flying, Noctowl allowed Ash Ketchum to have the chance to catch it. After an intense battle, Ash succeeded.

A Noctowl appeared in The Pendant That Starts It All: Part Two, onboard the Brave Olivine, serving as the ship's lookout. It has made further appearances in Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
