Noah is one of the two main protagonists of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, along with Mio. He is a soldier of Keves as well as an off-seer, who mourns for fallen soldiers.
Physical Appearance[]
Noah is a young man of a moderately slim build. He has long hair that he has tied up in a ponytail with a red hair band and blue eyes. He wields a red blade called a Veiled Sword that is similar in appearance to the Monado. During the main game, his outfit is composed of a black undershirt, a pair of black pants with a red jacket with straps that crosses the center.
Arts and Skills[]
Noah starts as the Swordfighter class, which is the Keves Attacker class. He starts at level 5. In a Chain Attack, Noah starts with 30 TP. His Chain Art is Brave Assault, which grants a 60-100% chance (depending on his level) for hits in the Chain Attack to ignore defense.

History[]
Past lives[]
The original Noah lived in a city on Bionis with his friends Lanz, Eunie, and Joran. On the Queen's anniversary, the four set off to see the fireworks in Alcamoth when Bionis collided with Alrest, resulting in a combination of the two worlds. Due to the Origin, many residents of Bionis, including Noah and his friends, became part of a system in which they were continually reborn as soldiers of Keves without memories of previous incarnations.
In many of his incarnations, Noah would wind up meeting Mio of Agnus, and the two would fall in love, flee the war, join the Lost Numbers, and die in the process. In one incarnation, Noah and Mio had a child named Ghondor. In this cycle, Mio died naturally when reaching the end of her terms, meaning she would not be reborn. Noah also died in the same manner soon after. Z, leader of the Moebius, showed this incarnation of Noah all the times he and Mio met, fell in love, and died, and told him he could bring her back if he became a Consul. He accepted, becoming the Consul N, with Mio becoming M.
Despite them having exited the cycle of rebirth, an incarnation of Noah was reborn based on Noah's previous hopes and ideals. Mio was also reborn.
Early life[]
The current incarnation of Noah was assigned to Colony 14 alongside Lanz, Eunie, and Joran. The group became rivals with another group, led by Garvel, who bullied Noah for not being able to draw his weapon. Unbeknownst to them, Noah could actually draw his sword, but chose not to because of his fears of what fighting would make him. The Nopon mechanic Riku gave Noah the unbreakable sword Lucky Seven. Noah would later become an off-seer after meeting Crys, an off-seer for Colony 14, becoming Crys's student.
One day, Colony 14 was attacked by Agnian soldiers, and part of the colony began to collapse. Joran sacrificed himself to save Lanz. He, Noah, and Eunie were attacked by a Levnis, but they were saved by Ethel. Sometime after, Noah, Lanz, and Eunie were transferred to Colony 9, where they were partnered with Mwamba.
Four years prior to the game, Crys died in battle. He smiled as he died, something that confused Noah.
Ouroburos[]
Noah, Lanz, and Eunie are tasked with seizing a crashed airship in the Alfeto Valley. But upon reaching it, they also encounter a trio of Agnian soldiers: Mio, Sena, and Taion. The man in the airship, Guernica Vandham, pleads for the two groups to stop fighting, only to be shot by a Moebius, later identified as D and J, who has also killed both Mwamba and the Agnian Hackt. As the two groups fight the Moebius, Guernica activates the Ouroburos Stone, imbuing the groups with the power of the Ouroburos and allowing Noah and Mio to interlink. After the Moebius flees, Guernica tells the groups to go to the City before succumbing to his injuries. Noah and his friends initially disregard his advice, but when they try returning to Colony 9 they are attacked by their former allies, who now view them as enemies. They flee back to the Alfeto Valley where they reunite with Mio's group and begrudgingly join up.
While traveling through the Eagus Wilderness, the Ouroburos are attacked by Colony 4, led by Ethel. Similarly to Colony 9, the soldiers are brainwashed into viewing the Ouroburos as enemies. Realizing the Flame Clocks are what control the colonies, Noah and Mio combine to destroy it. When this fails, Noah exits the Ouroburos form and uses Lucky Seven to destroy it, freeing Colony 9 from the consul's control and allowing the party to kill Consul K.
The party continues through Aionios, liberating several colonies including Colony 30 and Colony Lambda. At Lambda, the party learns that Consul J of Lambda is actually Joran.
One night during their way to Swordmarch, Mio expresses dismay at only having two months until her homecoming and gets mad at Noah for not understanding her worries. After she leaves, Sena says to Noah that Mio needed to vent and tells him to apologize to Mio. The next morning, Noah apologizes to Mio. She accepts his apology and tells him about Miyabi, the original owner of her flute, who died in an explosion. At Mio's suggestion, she and Noah exchange flutes, with Mio explaining that she wants Miyabi's flute to be used longer to make up for the time she lost.
They make their way to Keves Castle, who have an Annihilator pointed at Colony 4. To prevent the colony's destruction, Ethel is forced to intercept the Ouroburos, alongside her Agnian rival Cammuravi. When the Ouroburos match Ethel and Cammuravi's abilities, the two decide to disregard Moebius's demands, with Cammuravi tearing his eye with the Iris out before the two battle to the death. After killing the Consuls O and P, the Ouroburos destroy the Annihilator, defeating D and J in the process. enter the throne room of the castle and learn that they and all the other soldiers are clones. They are confronted by N and Queen Melia, the latter of whom they fight and learn is a robot pretending to be her. Shortly after, the castle is attacked by the Lost Numbers, allowing the Ouroburos to escape.
The Lost Numbers[]
The Ouroburos are led to the City in Swordmarch by Monica Vandham, Guernica's daughter and head of the Lost Numbers. She explains that her soldier Shania had been watching the party during their adventure. The City is a civilization comprised of the descendants of the first Ouroburos, who have regular lifespans and no Flame Clocks. They also learn the real queens of Keves and Agnus are in hiding, and the ones seen in public are robotic figureheads. Monica tasks Ouroburos with rescuing her daughter Ghondor from the Agnus Castle prison. To cross the ocean, the Nopon engineer Samon lets them use his ship, the Bravery. The group successfully infiltrates the prison, rendezvouses with Ghondor, and makes an escape attempt, but they are intercepted by Moebius, including M, N, and X. Shania reveals she was secretly working for Moebius. The party fights Moebius, allowing Ghondor to escape, but are captured and thrown into prison cells, with Mio being in a separate cell from the rest, with the goal of keeping them there until Mio's homecoming.
Despite their best efforts, the Ouroburos are unable to escape their cell. Soon before her homecoming, Mio and Noah have a conversation in which Mio tells Noah she now wants to live, also referring to Noah by name for the first time. The day of her homecoming, Noah and the Ouroburos are restrained and forced to watch as Mio reaches ten terms and dies. N prepares to execute Noah, swinging his weapon down to his neck.
Noah is shown the same visions N was, of his and Mio's repeated deaths, and eventually he sees N choosing to join Moebius. Despite this, he tells a cloaked figure (revealed to be Mio) that he refuses to make the same choices N did. He wakes up from these visions, with N's attempted execution being blocked by energy. M approaches Noah and reveals she is in fact Mio; M (who had been shown to be able to swap bodies with other people) had swapped bodies with Mio during their battle at the prison, and thus it had been M who died, not Mio. The party breaks free from their shackles and fights off N, X, and the robotic Queen Nia. X uses the Annihilator in Castle Agnus to destroy the part of Swordmarch where the City is. However, it is revealed that Mio (using M's powers) had warned Ghondor and Monica of this plan beforehand, allowing them to move the entire City to another location beforehand.
To Origin[]
Having M's memories, Mio leads the party to the Cloudkeep, where the real Nia is hiding. They are followed and ambushed by D and J, but after a battle, Joran has a change of heart and refuses to cancel his interlink with D, resulting in both of their deaths. Nia, having survived an attack by D, awakens and explains the origin of their world, Origin, and the Ouroburos Stone, which she created. With this knowledge, the party prepares to make their way to Origin.
As part of their preparations, the Ouroburos must obtain six Origin Metals. The sixth of these is in Keves Castle. They encounter Consul C, who is revealed to be Crys, and the rebuilt robot Melia. Crys turns on the fake Melia and destroys it before battling Ouroburos. After his defeat, Crys explains that Z, head of the Moebius, was the one who made him Moebius, and he says he has no ill will towards Noah before dying.
After making their way into Origin, the party encounters and defeats N, getting him to understand why M wished to die, and he merges with Noah the same way M did with Mio. The party frees the real Melia, who calls forces and colonies to attack Origin alongside Nia and the City. After defeating X and Y, the Ouroburos face off against Z. After a fierce battle, the party beats Z, with N and M sacrificing themselves to destroy him.
Activating Origin[]
Having defeated Moebius, the party prepares to reactivate Origin, which would separate Aionios back into Bionis and Alrest, separating the Kevesi and Agnians in the process. As the groups say goodbye to each other, Noah and Mio share a kiss and promise never to forget each other. After this, the worlds separate, and Noah and Mio promise to reunite one day.
Following the worlds' separation, a child Noah, Lanz, Eunie, and Joran prepare to see the Alcamoth fireworks, the same way they did in the beginning. As Noah is about to follow his friends, he hears the sounds of Mio's flute. Noah follows the music, and as a flock of doves fly past, Noah disappears.
