The Ninth Pokémon generation is the ninth generation of Pokémon games, starting with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet released on November 18, 2022. Kalos make its comeback with Pokémon Legends: Z-A in 2025.
New Pokémon[]
New Pokémon in this generation includes the starters consist of Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly and the main Legendary Pokémon: Koraidon and Miraidon. Old Pokémon such as Wooper had Regional forms. More new Pokémon are added in the expansion pass, including Ogerpon, Terapagos and the Loyal Three.

The eighth anime series of Pokémon the Series titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series does not have Ash Ketchum and Pikachu as the protagonists, instead Liko and Roy take their place. A new Pikachu named Captain Pikachu takes the place of Ash's Pikachu.
