The Nintendo eShop is an online feature of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Like the Wii Shop Channel and the Nintendo DSi Shop, it is a digital store where you can buy and games, watch videos and download demos. Among the large selection of software, there are certain categories in which the games fall. There are exclusive titles made specifically for the 3DS such as Pushmo, Dillon's Rolling Western and Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword. These titles take full advantage of the features the 3DS has to offer and are presented in stereoscopic 3D. Starting with the August 2012 release of New Super Mario Bros. 2, Nintendo and some third parties begain offering full retail games to be purchased and downloaded through the eShop on the same date of release, and sometimes earlier. Also exclusive to the eShop are 3D Classics, a selection of classic Nintendo games such as Excitebike, Xevious and Kid Icarus remade in 3D. Like the Wii Shop Channel, it has a Virtual Console library with Game Boy, Game Boy Color, NES and Sega Game Gear titles. It also has the existing DSiWare library of games and software. The eShop was made available worldwide simultaneously on June 7th UTC (i.e. late evening on June 6th in the US).
