Nintendo Points are points that one can use to buy games and channels on the Wii and Nintendo DSi's Shop Channel. One can get Nintendo Points by either buying them through the Shop Channel using a credit card (in quantities of 1000, 2000, 3000, and 5000 points), or by buying a Nintendo Point Card. Use of Nintendo Points was discontinued in later systems, replaced by real currency on the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
