Template:Title-shortcut Vandalism is the adding of false content, gibberish, or inappropriate language to an article, blog comment, talkpage, etc. it also cover the removing of large amounts of content with no reason given. With vandalism the Nintendo Wiki has a zero tolerance policy, where after an assessment of the vandalism an admin will decide if it warrants further investigations or simply gives a block.
What is Vandalism[]
Vandalism in short is the doing of damage to an article, talkpage, userpage, etc. in a harmful manner. Vandalism includes, but is not limited to:
- Removing Content from pages
- Adding gibberish, or non-sense words to pages
- Adding obviously harmful swearing or inappropriate language to pages
- Adding obviously false information to pages
- Redirecting pages in a harmful manner
- Adding offensive material to pages
- Uploading or adding inappropriate images to pages
- Doing anything else harmful to the wiki
Punishments[]
Punishments for vandalism generally depend on the circumstances. One time vandals, depending on the situation, may be given a block of one week or more. While multiple time vandals and extreme cases of vandalism may result in a block from anything from one to two years, or even an infinite block.
However you don't have to worry about being falsely accused, as each situation is case-by-case inspected by admins. Though if you do feel that you have been unfairly blocked feel free to leave a kindly worded message on the talk page of an admin on another Wikia wiki.
