Super Smash Bros. Brawl is filled with strategies and secrets, and it's no wonder why fans look towards FAQs and guides to learn how to perform special abilities and unlock the most challenging modes and secrets. This guide will take a look at literally everything, though currently the guide is under construction and will probably take a bit of time until it's fully completed. If you wish to contribute, then please do so! The original Super Smash Bros. was released on the Nintendo 64 in 1999. It included 12 playable characters, four of which had to be unlocked. These characters included Mario, Pikachu, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus Aran, Fox McCloud, Kirby, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Ness, and Luigi, the latter four being the unlockables. The game was a hit among some gamers, though at the same time some were unappreciative of the new format - plus, it was easy to play and perform attacks, unlike other fighters that were also being released at the time such as Street Fighter and Tekken. The second entry, Super Smash Bros. Melee, was much more popular among gamers and critics. There were more moves to perform, more unlockables to collect, and a multitude of new characters to master. Newbies included Bowser, Peach, Zelda, Sheik, Ice Climbers, Ganondorf, Marth, Roy, Pichu, Mewtwo, Falco, Dr. Mario, Mr. Game & Watch and Young Link. Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released seven years later on the Wii and introduced online play, third party characters and even a fleshed out adventure mode with almost an hour of CGI videos showcasing all of the playable characters in action. New characters in the game include Pit, Wario, Zero Suit Samus, Ike, Pokémon Trainer, Diddy Kong, Meta Knight, Snake, Sonic, Lucas, King Dedede Pikmin & Olimar, Lucario, R.O.B., Toon Link and Wolf O'Donnell. However, five characters from Melee - Roy, Pichu, Mewtwo, Dr. Mario and Young Link were removed. If you wish to edit any page - feel free to do so.
