Nightmare, sometimes called Cloaked Nightmare or Nightmare Wizard (and eNeMeE in the English dub of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!). Is a major antagonist in the Kirby series and the final boss of Kirby's Adventure, and its remake Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. He is a space wizard of unknown origin who traveled to planet Pop Star in order to corrupt the Fountain of Dreams and use its power to attack the people through their dreams. King Dedede was able to temporarily foil Nightmare's plans by removing the Star Rod, the power source of the Fountain of Dreams, and breaking it into seven pieces giving six pieces to his strongest underlings as well as the mercenary Meta Knight. This trapped Nightmare in the fountain but caused the people of Dream Land to lose their ability to dream. Misinterpreting King Dedede's intentions, Kirby accidentally released Nightmare but by tapping into the power of the Star Rod he was able to defeat Nightmare and restore good dreams and rest to Dream Land.
A parallel version of Nightmare called Parallel Nightmare makes an appearence as a boss in Super Kirby Clash.

Nightmare is also the overarching antagonist in the Kirby anime, Kirby: Right Back at Ya! Although he is rarely seen, save for his silhouette in the background on occasion, he is the one who creates the monsters that Kirby fights on a regular basis.
