Naruto: Clash of Ninja is a 3D fighting game developed by Eighting and published by Tomy Corporation. It is based on the manga series Naruto, and is the first installment in the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series.
Gameplay[]
The game is a 3D fighter where two fighters are in an arena. each fighter has basic weak and strong attacks and a character specific special move in their arsenal. Most characters have a projectile as Strong attack with weak attacks being quick attacks that lead into a combo attack. Backwards weak attacks have an autoguard effect. There are also running and midair attacks. Guards are activate through holding back or standing still and can be held indefinitely, reducing damage except for throws and specials. Throws can be escaped with the correct timing.
A special ability becomes usable after a fighter's Chakra Meter is filled all the way. The Special Attack is usually cinematic. Chakra generates by either receiving or inflicting damage. Fighters can also perform a teleport type move but performing it will expend some Chakra. Certain strong attacks can be extended with the use of Chakra
The game features the following modes; Story Mode, Two-Player Battle, Play Against Computer, Survival, Time Attack and Training Mode.
The game's story mode is a basic series of fights following story segments similar to visual novels where the characters converse as the plot progresses.

Plot[]
The game's story mode takes place early in the series starting from right after the manga's opening chapters to the end of the Land of Waves though the story is abridged so that all the fights deal with Naruto. The game starts with Naruto and Iruka celebrating Naruto's graduation and then testing him with a fight. Then, Team 7 is formed and they have to take part in Kakashi's survival mission. Naruto fights some warmup matches with Sasuke and Sakura before confronting Kakashi. After a difficult fight, they get their first mission to stop ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist from destroying the main bridge to Land of Waves. Along the way, they are attacked by a ninja named Haku. Haku retreats and they learn the true mastermind is Zabuza. After Zabuza is defeated, they put an end to the their plan and return home. Upon returning, Sasuke is challenged by Rock Lee before Naruto barges his way into the fight. After winning, everything goes as normal for Team 7.
