NHL 96 is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the Game Boy. It was released in North America and Europe.

Gameplay[]

The game can be played by one or two players. There are 2 different regular season modes available within the game with all the National Hockey League teams. Due to the real-world NHL lockout the year prior, a shortened season is one of the options. A password system is utilized to save and continue a season.

As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.

Teams[]

This game is an official National Hockey League product and features all the 26 teams from that NHL season. Because it's not an NHLPA product, the actual rosters are not real-world rosters.
