NHL 2K3 is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the GameCube and is the first game in the NHL 2K series on a Nintendo system. It is licensed by the National Hockey League and its Player's Association.

Gameplay[]

The game supports up to 4 players simultaneously and uses 2 blocks on the GameCube Memory Card.

A full season mode and franchise mode are both available in the game. The in-game presentation is set up to mirror that of ESPN's hockey presentation.

As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.

Teams[]

All the 30 NHL teams from the previous year appear in the game.

Box Art[]

The box art for the game is a shot of former player Jeremy Roenick during his time with the Philadelphia Flyers.
