NHL 2K3 is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the GameCube and is the first game in the NHL 2K series on a Nintendo system. It is licensed by the National Hockey League and its Player's Association.

The game supports up to 4 players simultaneously and uses 2 blocks on the GameCube Memory Card.

A full season mode and franchise mode are both available in the game. The in-game presentation is set up to mirror that of ESPN's hockey presentation.

As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.

All 30 NHL teams from the previous year appear in the game.

Box Art

The box art for the game is a shot of Jeremy Roenick during his time with the Philadelphia Flyers.
