NHL 2000 is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the Game Boy Color. It is licensed by the National Hockey League and its Player's Association.

Gameplay

Though the PlayStation and PC versions were released in other countries, the Game Boy Color version was only released in North America. This marks EA Sports' only game released for the Game Boy Color.

As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.

Teams

All NHL teams from that year appear in the game, including the expansion team the Atlanta Thrashers.

Box art

The box art for the game is a still shot of Chris Pronger of the St. Louis Blues who inevitably became the League's Most Valuable Player that current season.
