NHL 2000 is an ice hockey game for the Game Boy Color. It is licensed by the National Hockey League and its Player's Association. Though other versions were released in other countries, the Game Boy Color version was only released in North America.

Plot[]

The game is based on the 1999–2000 international ice hockey season.

Gameplay[]

As in the real-world sport of ice hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.

All the NHL teams from that year appear in the game, including the expansion team the Atlanta Thrashers.

The box art for the game is a still shot of former player Chris Pronger of the St. Louis Blues who inevitably became the League's Most Valuable Player that season.
