NHL 06 is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the GameCube and the fourth and final game in the series for the system. It is licensed by the National Hockey League and its Player's Association.
Plot[]
The game is based on the 2005–2006 international ice hockey season.
Gameplay[]
The game supports up to 4 players simultaneously and uses 251 blocks on the GameCube Memory Card.
Full length seasons could be played. As part of the player creation feature, this game allowed the facial construction as well, complete with black eyes and broken noses. There is also an exclusive momentum system for skating and puck physics, simulating more realistic movements for both aspects.
As in the real-world sport of ice hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.
