The NES Max was a controller for the NES that included improvements upon the original NES Controller, such as wings and a cycloid, the latter of which replaced the D-pad. The two A and B buttons were smaller than the original, and because of the two wings, it had a much better grip. One of it's main features were the Turbo A and B buttons, which would help in games involving button mashing and repetitively pressing a button, similar to the NES Advantage. The controller also resembles that of modern controllers such as the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and Classic Controller Pro.
