The Mysterious Remains is a treasure in Pikmin 2 that resembles a crab claw. It is found in the 4th sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos, held by one of the two Emperor Bulblaxes in the level. In the PAL version, it is on the 6th sublevel of the Snagret Hole where it is held by a Dwarf Orange Bulborb that falls from the sky. It is the 51th treasure on the List of Pikmin 2 treasures.

"This looks like some part of a crustacean. Its shape vaguely resembles a pair of scissors, but I've never seen anything quite like it. It's fair to assume this creature has already perished.
