“Your rage is justified, Prince Chrom. But the meaning of your sister's final sacrifice was not lost on me. I suspect many Plegians who heard her final words would say the same. If you lay down your weapons, I vow to protect you as best I can.”
Mustafa is a minor antagonist in Fire Emblem Awakening. Mustafa is a Plegian general that is noted to be much more merciful than his peers. Mustafa was deeply moved by Emmeryn's sacrifice and is only going after the Ylissean army because the mad king of Plegia, Gangrel, would kill his family if he refused to fulfill his role. Mustafa is also a playable character in Fire Emblem Heroes.
Not much is known about Mustafa's past aside from the fact that he is known to be a merciful general of the Plegian army. He has a wife and A child, consider Henry as his own son, and always gave him a bag of peaches when the later came to visit him.
Mustafa is fought in Chapter 10 and as such, he is the first antagonist fought right after Emmeryn's death. He is actually willing to defend Chrom and his army if they are willing to surrender but he knew they would not as Chrom himself is blinded by rage after his sister's death during this fight.
During the battle, some of his soldiers tell him that they are unable to fight Chrom's army due to Emmeryn's last speech. He is requiered to punish any soldier guilty of insubordination with death but he refuses to do it and tell them that if they wish to lay down their weapons, he would take the blame for it. Mustafa then tell them that he would also surrender if he could but doing so would cause the death of his family at the hands of Gangrel. Ultimately, Mustafa fights to the death with Chrom's army and ask them to spare his remaining soldiers as his dying wish.
