Moogle

Artwork for a Moogle in the game Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Moogles are fictional creatures in the Final Fantasy series. They are intelligent animals who have white hair and and a red ball on his head. Usually, Moogles are rather chubby, though they will sometimes be thinner, as seen in the artwork to the right. They have appeared in almost every Final Fantasy game, and are sometimes considered the mascot of the series, along with the Chocobo species.

In the games they appear in, they will either help you fight, be a major team member, or will give you advice. In Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS, the Moogles would allow you to access Mog Net.

Their signature catch-phrase is the word "Kupo".

A Moogle appeared as a playable character in the Nintendo DS video game Mario Hoops 3-on-3. This marks the first Mario to Final Fantasy crossover of a Moogle. They have also appeared in Mario Sports Mix as an unlockable character. Moogles have also appeared in other game series such as the Kingdom Hearts video games for the Playstation 2 and Game Boy Advance.

Notable Moogles include Mog, one of the playable characters in Final Fantasy VI, Montblanc, a main playable character in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Nono, Montblanc's younger brother, and Hurdy, who appears in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift and Montblanc's and Nono's younger brother.
