Monster Hunter Tri (also called Monster Hunter 3: Tri or Monster Hunter 3)is a video game for the Wii. It was originally intended to be released on the PlayStation 3, though because of a tight budget and the high price to make a game for that particular console, it was merged over to the Wii and was officially announced at a Nintendo press event in September of 2007. Monster Hunter 3 (tri-) is the first game in the series to be released on a non-Sony console.
As of April 20, 2010, Monster Hunter Tri has been released to the U.S. on the Wii. Not only can you use the Wii Remote-Nunchuck and Classic Controller, but Nintendo has released an upgraded version of the Classic Controller called the Classic Controller Pro, that you can use on Monster Hunter Tri as well.
