Metroid Hatcher} Miniroids are juvenile Metroids that have mutated to fully adapt to a Phazon heavy environment. They are one of the few mutated species of Metroid to have developed a fully functional life cycles with multiple stages going from their equivalent to the Metroid Larva to an equivalent of the Queen Metroid. The Miniroids are the infant phase of that cycle. After surviving for a while, they eventually morph into Phazon Metroids.

Behavior

Miniroids are very unusal when compared to a regular Metroid newborn. Their membrane is blue and opaque. They also have four pinkish fangs and have a rounder body than Metroids infants. One of the major differences with other Metroid infants is that the Miniroids are completely harmless because they have yet to develop any energy siphoning ability. Something that has been shown to be inate in Metroids native to SR388. They are also completely neutral towards threat and will only damage Samus Aran if she makes contact with them. They never display a hint of hostility otherwise. They can also be killed by a single shot from any weapon in Samus' arsenal and they travel in flocks for protection from potential predator. Even if they are weaker than the other types of infant Metroids, they eventually grow into the Phazon Metroid, which is probably the most dangerous type of Metroid in its larval stage.

They were originally created by exposing metroid eggs to Phazon but they now have a fully operational reproduction cycle without the need of any outside help. They still tend to prefer Phazon rich environments like the G.F.S. Valhalla or the planet of Phaaze. They are also confirmed to be able to live and even thrive in the vacuum of space since the G.F.S. Valhalla is an abandoned ship floating in space with multiple massive breach exposing its entire haul to a cosmic environment.
