Minecraft is a game for the Wii U originally made by Mojang and released on December 17, 2015. This version is similar to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 version. A Nintendo Switch (which was more similar to the PS4 and Xbox One versions) and New Nintendo 3DS version were also released in 2017. Only the Nintendo Switch version will support cross-play with other platforms.

Gameplay

Survival Mode

Your goal is to gather resources and craft items to survive and to eventually kill the Ender Dragon. Another mode, called Hardcore, is similar to Survival Mode except once a player dies, they lose access to that world.

Creative Mode

Players have access to all the items in the game and can fly. They are free to create whatever they want in the limits of the world.

Development

Better Together Update

This update also brings an updated graphics engine which allows the new  Super Duper Graphics Pack.

Halo Mash-Up: Minecraft Evolved skins will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch version as a result of these updates[1]
