Mightyena is a Dark-type Pokémon introduced in the third generation. It is the evolved form of Poochyena.

Mightyena's appears to be based on a hyena - possibly a brown hyena - and also shares some similarities with wolves.

Mightyena may be a combination of mighty and hyena.
