Metroid Prime Pinball is a pinball video game for the Nintendo DS. It is noted for being the first DS game to use the Rumble Pak, which came included. This game seems to be somewhat of a remake of the classic GameCube game Metroid Prime, as it features many of the same bosses and levels. As you would expect, the ball is Samus Aran in morph ball form.

Plot[]

The plot of this game is the same as the first Metroid Prime game but converted into pinball tables.

Gameplay[]

This game plays like any pinball machine. You flip the flippers with the L and R buttons to make the morph ball go to different paths.

Hitting all the lights between the different paths will cause the Hurry Up event to activate. Completing the event quickly will reward Samus with a large point bonus and a special item.

Wall Jump Minigame[]

After completing certain objectives, you will be able to access this minigame. You press L and R to wall jump. Reaching the top will reward you with a special item.

Combat Minigame[]

After collecting the letters in the word S A M U S, you can shoot the morph ball onto a certain point on the board and Samus will exit morph ball mode. She will be able to shoot all of the enemies very quickly. Killing them all will give you a special item. Doing the same thing without getting hit will give you a bonus of 50,000 points!

Multiplayer mode[]

In the multiplayer mode (which only requires one copy of the game), you and up to seven others try to get the set score first. This mode also includes the Magmoor Caverns, which cannot be played in the single-player mode of the game.

Development[]

The developer is Fuse Games, a new video game designer who also made Mario Pinball Land for the Game Boy Advance one year prior to this games release.
