Metal Torrent is a vertical scrolling shooter original by Arika released on DSiWare in 2009. The goal of the game is to survive the waves of enemies for as long as possible.
Gameplay
The game has two options for ships; the Accipiter for beginners and Bateleur for experts. Each ship has the main weapon fire with unlimited ammo and the ship's unique weapon with energy ammo that is dropped by enemies. A big feature of this game was the online leaderboards though, this feature no longer works since online features for the Nintendo DS have been shutdown as of 2014.
