Each ship has the main weapon fire with unlimited ammo and the ship's unique weapon with energy ammo that is dropped by enemies. A big feature of this game was the online leaderboards though, this feature no longer works since online features for the [[Nintendo DS]] have been shutdown as of May 2014.

Metal Torrent is a vertical scrolling shooter original by Arika released on DSiWare in 2009. The goal of the game is to survive the waves of enemies for as long as possible.

Gameplay
