Metal Slug 7 is a Nintendo DS run and gun title that features gameplay similar to the previous titles in the series. Like Contra 4, Metal Slug 7 is a revisiting of the classic series, and also like the game it is a fast paced, extremely challenging scrolling shooter. It features seven stages, each with varying environments and opposing forces. As the game progresses, it'll become more challenging. Along with controlling a ground unit, you'll also jump in the cockpit of a variety of vehicles such as jeeps, helicopters, and tanks. While you'll be given access to classic weapons, new ones such as the thunder cannon will also be given to you. In all, there are three difficulty levels, though the abandonment of a multiplayer option will probably turn some fans of the originals off.
