Mercenaries Saga Chronicles is a collection of the first 3 Mercenaries Saga games, a series of strategy role-playing games developed by RideonJapan that were published on console by CIRCLE Entertainment. The game includes upgraded ports of Mercenaries Saga 2: Order Of The Silver Eagle and Mercenaries Saga 3: Gray Wolves of War as well as the first console port of Mercenaries Saga: Will of the White Lions.
This series plays like the other Strategy games like Final Fantasy Tactics with the game being in an isometric perspective with varying visible heights. The player controls a team of characters in various classes to defeat the enemy. The different classes affect the stats and potential attacks they will have available to them. When the characters successfully attack, they earn experience points to level up and skill points to unlocks and improve skills and attacks. The special attacks use mana points that slowly regenerate over the battle. When a character is knocked out, they have 5 turns to be revived before they are removed from the fight.
