Meowth is one of Template:PKMNcount different types of Pokémon species. It is considered one of the most popular Pokémon of all time, likely due to it being incorporated with Team Rocket (Jessie and James) as a main character in the anime.

In the games
Meowth was first seen in Pokémon Red and Blue and has been in almost every other Pokémon game since. It is a scratch cat Pokemon that is known for its high speed stat and the fact that is one of only two Pokémon to learn Pay Day (The other is Persian). It evolves into Persian at Level 28. It is known to be somewhat similar to other cat Pokémon such as Skitty and Glameow.
Super Smash Bros. series
It is seen in the Super Smash Bros. series as a Poké Ball Pokémon that throws coins at the players.
