Mario (Classic) is a high-end tier variant of Mario from Mario Kart Tour. His special item is the Triple Mushrooms, and he was added on February 26, 2020 as a part of the Mario Bros. Tour. His outfit is based off of Mario's classic outfit in Super Mario Odyssey, which was in turn inspired by the more orange outfits Mario would occasionally wear in his early days, such as in the Famicom version of Donkey Kong, and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Luigi also has a classic variant, being Luigi (Classic).
Mario (Classic) is one of the many versions of Mario in Tour, including Mario, Mario (Musician), Mario (Hakama), Mario (Santa), Mario (Happi), Mario (Chef), Mario (Swimwear), Mario (SNES), Mario (Sunshine), Mario (Halloween), Mario (Racing), Mario (Tuxedo), Mario (Baseball), Mario (Satellaview), Mario (Golf), Mario (Aviator), Mario (Samurai), Mario (King), Mario (Black Suit), Metal Mario, Ice Mario, Builder Mario, Dr. Mario, Penguin Mario, Tanooki Mario, and Cat Mario. Additionally, there is a Mario Mii Racing Suit.
