Manhole is a Game & Watch game. In the game, you must save pedestrians from falling into manholes by covering them up. If one falls through, you will lose and will have to start over.
Game & Watch Gallery version
In Game & Watch Gallery, you can choose to play two versions of the game. The classic or the modern version. The gameplay in the modern version is basically the same as the classic with a few tweaks. You play Yoshi who has to save Toads, Donkey Kong Jr.'s, and Mini Mario's from falling down manholes by covering them. If you miss three times, it's game over. As well as changing the characters, the look of the walkways and manholes have also been altered.
Trivia
- In the Super Smash Bros. series, Mr. Game & Watch's down-A attack makes him hit an opponent with the objects he used to cover the ground in Manhole.
- An e-Reader version of the game was sold with every purchase of an e-Reader for free called Manhole-e.
