Maiko Fujiwara is a graphic designer for Game Freak, mostly focusing on the 3D Map graphics. She joined in 2009 and started working on the Pokémon series with HeartGold and SoulSilver. With the series transition to 3D on the Nintendo 3DS, Fujiwara became 3D map graphics lead; she further moved to overall 3D graphics director on Sword and Shield.
Fujiwara also designed some Pokémon for Black and White.
