Magna Centipede

Magna Centipede.

Magna Centipede (or Magna Hyakulegger in Japanese) is a centipede-based Maverick in Mega Man X2. When he was a Maverick Hunter of the unknown Special Unit, he became a Maverick when the X-Hunters brainwashed him.

Strategy

In all the games where he appeared, Magna Centipede will teleport to another space like a ninja does (doing the pattern like Boomer Kuwanger does). First, Mega Man X has to slide under him to avoid his landing. Later, Centipede will fire his Magnet Mines at Mega Man X until the Magnet Mines decide to attack him. Later, Centipede will make a weird noise to magnetize Mega Man X until he stops the attack, making the pattern a combination between Magnet Man and Shadow Man. If he gets close to Centipede, he'll wobble X until he stops. Centipede then repeats again.

Other appearances

In Mega Man Xtreme 2, Magna Centipede's weakness is Bomb Bee and he appears in Boss Attack mode.

• Magna Centipede appears in the books, Rockman X and Rockman X Mega Mission 2.

Trivia

• Magna Centipede is one of the bosses to have extra limbs as he has extra arms. The other is Centaur Man as he has extra legs.

• Magna Centipede's Japanese name, "Hyakulegger" means "one-hundred legs".
