Lucas was a friend of Saul from Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers. Lucas was looking for treasure with Saul when they came across a staff in the cave. The staff apparently made Saul go mad. When Lucas tried to stop Saul, Saul killed him and ran off with the staff. Lucas is the first ghost the main character, Del Cottonwood, sees in the game.

- Along with Lakmir, Lucas is one of the only two ghosts that Del can see without the use of the Ring of the Dead.
