The Life-Up Heart (JP) is a power-up item in Super Mario Odyssey . Similar to the Life Mushroom in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2, when obtained, it increases Mario's health to six, but will lose the extra health if he takes three hits. They can't however increase Mario's health in Assist Mode.
They're obtainable from Crazy Cap stores for 50 regular coins, minigames, treasure chests, and Princess Peach amiibo (all variants).[1]
