Landorus (ランドロス, Landlos) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a dual-type Ground/Flying legendary Pokémon that made its first appearance in the fifth generation games Black and White. Landorus is part of the Forces of Nature along with Tornadus, Thundurus and Enamorus.

Appearances

Landorus, in his Therian Form, appears as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

An Incarnate Form Landorus appeared in Pokémon Generations, battling Pikachu inside the Relic Castle and prepared to attack it.

Origin

In Incarnate Forme, Landorus is based on a deity of the land; perhaps specifically Inari Ōkami, the kami of fertility and agriculture. In Therian Forme, Landorus is based on the White Tiger.

Therian: Landorus soars through the sky in this form, bestowing plentiful harvests upon the land and earning the people's reverence. It can traverse the whole of Hisui in a mere couple of hours.
